Moon Villas
The villas are painted in warm earthy colors set among walkways, surrounded by lush green foliage. Each villa has its own covered veranda overlooking the pool and garden. The veranda is furnished with lounge seating, the ideal spot for a coffee break or to surf the Web.
The pool lies in front of the main Pavilion with a separate Jacuzzi. A massage pavilion on one side of the pool is filled with thick cotton daybeds and cushions, the perfect setting for afternoon massages, reading, and naps.
Fragrant frangipani trees, palms, heliconia, lotus, lilies, gardenia, papyrus and cattails fill the 600 square meter garden. Various walkways pass by ponds with fountains, containing koi. Cages with tropical birds hang from the frangipani trees; they fill the mornings and afternoons with their beautiful song. Two monkeys are living in the garden, Greco and his companion, Sabrina, are an endless source of amusement.
Moon Villas are fully serviced by an experienced manager. He oversees the staff and is available to assist and perform concierge duties for the guests. The villa staff is responsible for the housekeeping and providing wait service around the pool and the Pavilion. A security guard patrols the grounds and guards the entrance from dusk until dawn.
Within the spacious 1100 square meter compound are four detached villas; a 1 bedroom efficiency, a two story 1 bedroom deluxe, a two story 2 bedroom deluxe, and a two story 3 bedroom deluxe.
The downstairs area features a kitchen, dining room, living room, and bedroom. The combined living and dining areas feature modern furniture with chenille upholstered sofa sectionals, leathered banded lounge chairs, wooden plank flooring, cowhide carpeting, crushed bamboo veneered coffee tables, unique accessories, table lamps and wall art. Every bedroom has an en suite bathroom with bathtub and an open air shower.
The light and airy bedrooms feature a LCD flat screen television, cable programs featuring many movie and news channels, DVD and CD player. Each bedroom with its large picture windows and timber plank flooring is lavishly furnished with a host of exotic materials including teak, bamboo, coconut shell inlay, leather, and rattan. The four-poster teak bed with mosquito netting canopy features a deluxe king-size mattress. The bed is outfitted with 500 thread count cotton linens, duvet cover and oversized pillows, all in brilliant white. Accessories, table lamps and artwork create a distinctive look in their confluence. One upstairs bedroom has a balcony with a romantic view of the pool and garden as well as the stars and moon above.
The main Pavilion serves as our guest services center. Enjoy your Continental Breakfast in the Pavilion, on your veranda, or in your dining room. Use the Pavilion for your laptop broadband WiFi. The open air structure features terracotta tile flooring and eight carved wood columns that support a 5 meter intricately woven thatched roof. Billowing curtains, artwork, choice accessories, woven grass sofas and lounges, carved wooden tables provide an ideal space for guests to host friend and family dinner parties, barbeques, and afternoon cocktails. The Pavilion has its own kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, pantry and microwave, all at the guest’s disposal.
Location
The Moon Villas compound, located in the village of Uma Alas (Balinese words meaning “rice” and “forest”) is one of the most sought after areas in Bali. The area is home to some of the most luxurious private villas on the island and is situated 20 minutes from the Bali International Airport and 30 minutes from some of the best golf courses in Asia.
Still, for the most part undeveloped, this relaxed, remote setting offers the double attraction of being close to everything while also offering visitors a privileged insight into the traditions of rural Bali. The local population makes a living from fishing and farming. Ducks are herded through the rice fields. Sounds of wild game travel on the breeze. Legian Beach with its sweeping, panoramic coastline, not to mention its world- class surf breaks, is located 15 minutes away. Trendy Seminyak, 5 minutes away, offers a wide choice of international restaurants, chic cocktail bars, exciting nightclubs, lavish spas and elegant shops.
